Description
Costus arabicas ‘Variegata’ is a fabulously exotic looking South American native, used here in the UK as an easy to grow houseplant making a bold statement in the home. Otherwise known as the ‘Spiral Ginger’ owing to the way the beautifully variegated foliage grows around the stems in spirals. Leaves are deep green with bold creamy-wihte variegation held on sturdy green stems. A very happy plant may even produce beautiful white flowers which have yellow throats with hints of rose-pink.
Grow in a bright position but not in direct sunlight and keep moist but ensure it never becomes waterlogged, occasional misting can be beneficial to provide humidity.
