Description
Metapanax davidii is a wonderful and hardy, large evergreen shrub native to China and Northern Vietnam. It is one of only two species inn the genus and is much sought after. Beautiful deep green and glossy leaves adorn the stems, leaves are either singular and ovate or randomly divided into two or three lobes. During the summer months, umbels of small frothy white flowers appear which are loved by pollinators, the flowers develop into shiny black berries, loved by birds. This is a beautiful and elegant shrub suitable for sun or shade and will reach up to 3m in height and spread. Plant in free draining soil and prune as required.
