Description
Cautleya spicata ‘Robusta’ is one of our favourite hardy gingers, this Cautleya only grows to around 1m high producing masses of dark green jungly leaves against burgundy red stems, it the garden it rapidly forms small elegant clumps with multi stems each producing a spray of golden orange flowers from late summer into early autumn. The form Robusta in our opinion is the hardiest and had the best colour is a reliable grower in most UK gardens requiring little attention. Originally from the himalyers, Cautleya spicata ‘Robusta’ will grow in conditions ranging from full sum to dappled shade in any reasonable garden soil. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely Cautleya for any jungle or architectural planting.

Plants arrived fast and the plants were in good condition and were well protected in their box. Himalayan Ginger put in bigger pot and now has two side shoots and is growing well, it will spend the winter in the green house, dont know if i need to feed it once inside? Banana plant as above, going great guns, again unsure if to feed once in the green house? Very nice plants Thank you
