Hedychium densiflorum ‘Assam Orange’

Description

Hedychium densiflorum ‘Assam Orange’ is a stunning form of H. densiflorum offering a bold display of bright orange flowers which are beautifully fragrant.  Flowers appear during late summer, into autumn above upright stems.  The leaves are bright green and lance shaped creating a wonderfully exotic effect.  This is a particularly hardy variety.  Will reach up to 1.2-2m in height and may be container grown too.  Plant in moisture retentive fertile soil but do ensure it is well drained.  Plants will benefit from a good mulch during the winter months and will enjoy a feed during the growing and flowering period.
