Petasites japonicus var. giganteus

Description

Petasites japonicus var. giganteus is an extraordinary perennial, loved by flower-arrangers for the unusual green-white clusters of flowers which emerge during early spring bbut more so by lovers of leafy exotics as following the flowers large, jungly round leaves appear which are bright green – if you like Farfugium, you’ll adore these!  Petasites japonicus var. giganteus make excdellent ground cover, coping in most soil types.  Plant in a sunny or part shaded position in moisture retentive soil and provide a mulch during the winter months.  Hardy and will reach up to 1.2m in height and spread.
