Aloe ferox

Description

Aloe ferox, otherwise known as ‘The Cape Aloe’ forms a wonderful roesette of glaucous blue-green leaves held on a woody stem.  Tall orange-red flowers tower above the foliage in the summer months. Leaves are clothed in small ‘spikes’.  Although relatively hardy, do makesure you keep your Aloe frost free and on the dry side during the cooler months.  An excellent plant for container growing where it can be moved into a hot position during the summer months and then protected during winter.
