Catalpa bignonioides ‘Aurea’, the Golden Indian Bean Tree, is a wide, spreading tree with large, heart-shaped leaves, which emerge a golden yellow before turning to pale green. Upright panicles of creamy white flowers are produced in early summer, these are then followed by long, hanging seed pods which remain on the tree long after the leaves fall.
