Description
Tasmannia lanceolata ‘Red Spice’ otherwise known as Mountain Pepper and up until recently recorded as ‘Drimys’, is a lovely evergreen shrub with aromatic foliage from Chile. It has quite an upright form with masses of dark green leaves beautifully contrasted by the dark red stems. The small creamy white flowers are produced in spring. It prefers a neutral to acidic soil in full sun to semi shade. Light pruning after flowering helps to retain its bushy habit.
