Podocarpus macrophyllus

Description

Podocarpus macrophyllus is a wonderful evergreen native of the Far East with beautiful long narrow, deep green leaves which have a paler, almost glaucous colured underside.  Will form a dense large shrub or small tree and may be clipped.  Podocarpus are generally not fast growers so pruning is not something which is regularly required.  Plant in fertile, free draining soil in a sunny to partially shaded position.  Podocarpus are not suited to chalky soil
