Description
Viburnum davidii is a highly useful evergreen, bushy shrub at home in both traditional gardens and exotic gardens owing to the fabulous thick, glossy dark green leaves which are ridged and veined and held on red stems. Reaching up to 1.5m in height and spread this is an excellent specimen for a sunny or semi-shaded position and not only is the foliage beautiful, but on female plants the large, flattened heads of white flowers are also stunning – they make an appearance in May and are followed by striking metallic-blue berries.
Used by gardeners predominantly for the excellent foliage as ground cover and understorey planting, Viburnum davidii is a highly versitile evergreen.
Sheleter from cold winds and plant in free draning nutrient rich soil.
Please note that for flowers, male and femal plants need to be in proximity. We can’t guarantee the sex of our plants. But with foliage like that, who cares?!
