Viburnum tinus wonderfully versatile evergreen shrub prized by gardeners since Victorian times for its reliability, hardiness and year round interest.
Viburnum tinus makes a large to medium sized evergreen shrub with deep-green leaves. During late winter – spring, fabulous clusters of white-pink flowers appear in abundance, opening from deep pink buds – these are loved by pollinators. Following the flowers, deep blue-black fruits which are enjoyed by birds.
This viburnum is useful as a standalone shrub but can also be used to plant as a low growing hedge. It requires little maintenance and responds well to being clipped.
Plant in full sun or partial shade in free draining but moisture retentive soil. Fully hardy
