Pileostegia viburnoides

Description

Pileostegia viburnoides is an aristrocratic, hardy, evergreen climber from India and Southern China. It has luscious deep green leathery leaves, which in summer are joined by masses of tiny white flowers. Of particular note the new leaf growth throughout the year is an attractive salmon colour maturing to a deep green. Pileostegia will grow in most situations but is particularly tolerant of shade. A great plant to cover that difficult to screen north wall or fence.
