Description

Wonderful hardy semi aquatic plant left over from dinosaur times. Equisetum japonicum is a robust upright grower with architectural upright leafless stems striped alternately green and black. If kept moist and well fed it can reach a metre or more high. For best results grow in damp soil, keep well fed and enjoy its rapid spring and early summer growth. This equisetum is non invasive, adaptable and easy to grow. It can also be grown in a container or as a marginal plant and is even happy as a house plant on a bright window shelf or conservatory.
