Ophiopogon japonicus ‘Minor’

Description

Ophiopogon japonicus ‘Minor’ is a beautiful evergreen compact and low growing form of Ophiopogon with narrow, deep green strappy leaves forming a dense clump.  During te summer months occasional spikes of white flowers may appear which are followed by deep blue fleshy fruits.  This is an excellent ground cover plant and a good candidate for Japanese planting schemes or for filling in those under storey gaps at the front of a border or under ornamental trees.  Plant in free draining fertile soil in sun or patial shade for best results.
