Description
Otherwise known as ‘Black Grass’ because it’s grass-like, and black! Ophiopogan planiscapus ‘Niger’ is a bold clump-forming, evergreen perennial with narrow, curving, almost black leaves. Clusters of pale purplish white flowers are followed by shiny dark blue-black fruit.
Excellent ground cover and looks extraordinary planted en masse. Equally effective in planters and container. Height 20cm. Spread 30cm. Flowers from July to August. Frost hardy.
