Panicum virgatum ‘Northwind’

Description

Panicum virgatim ‘Northwind’ is remarkable for its tight, upright habit, reaching at least 1.2m high.  The spring foliage emerges a deep green, turning to shades of greay-blusish green as they mature in summer.  From mid-summer through to the autumn the foliage then starts to change into autumnal hues of yellows and pale oranges.  A really good, stately ornamental grass with pinkish, fluffy seed heads and year-round presence.
