Phormium tenax is one of the toughest exotic plants going! It will withstand wind and coastal exposure and reach between 2-3m in height producing a dense mound of wonderfully architectural swordstrap-shaped green leaves. During the summer months, when mature, a fabulous huge flower spike will emerge adding yet more interest. Plant in free draining soil in a sunny position.
